German American Trade Association

The German American Trade Association (GATA) is a not-for-profit organization that was incorporated in 2003 upon the initiative of German trade and industry associations.  Its predominant purpose is to facilitate the U.S. market entry for Austrian, German and Swiss corporations.  Through its wholly owned sales and distribution company -- Coperion USA Corporation -- GATA offers one-stop-shop marketing solutions, at fixed prices, to selected companies with competitive products.  In the event that a company subsequently decides to establish production facilities in the United States, GATA will endeavor to provide state subsidies for selected geographical areas. Each year in spring and fall, GATA hosts The Executive Management Meeting (EMM) in New York, the leading risk management seminar in the country. GATA is able to recommend suitable accounting firms, as well as specialized law firms in the areas of company formation, product liability, visa matters, trademark registration and contractual risk management. Upon the request of its customers, GATA has commenced extending its activities into Southern Europe and Austral-Asia, and will offer a 1-day EMM in Europe in 2008.
